HALLOWEEN FREEBIES

Here's a round-up of all the Halloween Freebies floating around. There seems to be tons to do with your little ones to have some extra fun and food - even before the tricks and treats begin!

-Stop by Sears with your little person in costume, and pick up a FREE toy! I'd do this early on, since I'm sure supplies are limited. While you're there, maybe you can catch a good deal with this $5 OFF $20 Toy Coupon. Or since your cutie will be all dressed up, why not take advantage of this coupon for a FREE Portrait Collage w/ no sitting fee? Sounds like a deal to me!

-Michael's is having a FREE Halloween Event from 10am-Noon. Stop in with the kids to get FREE Trick-or-Treat Pail, coloring activities, FREE Make and Take Halloween Frame, balloons, and candy!

-Looking for something to do at home? How about some FREE Halloween coloring pages here.

-Taco Bell is treating you to a FREE Black Jack Taco on Halloween night from 6pm-Midnight.

-Bass Pro Shops is having FREE Halloween Events on October 30 and 31st. Check here for all the details, but some of the fun includes trick-or-treating in the store, mask decorating, marshmallow roasting, and Dutch Oven Apple Cobbler-YUM!

-Toys 'R Us is hosting a Trick-Or-Treat Parade in store on Halloween from 12-3pm. Bring your little ones in costume to get a FREE bag, meet Geoffrey the Giraffe, and load up on treats and candy around the store.

-Brunswick still has coupons available for one FREE game of bowling - good through November 26th - here.

This Week's Shopping Trip! 10-23-2009

I made two separate trips to Publix this week. We are well stocked but I am making purchases to stock up for a Halloween party for our son and for the holiday season in general. We did have to buy dog food since we were almost out, but other than that we more or less only buy what's on sale - which is a great feeling!

Here's what I got:

2 T. Marzetti's Dips
1 Log Cabin Syrup
4 Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta
2 Progresso Bread Crumbs
4 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks
2 Wise Cheez Doodles
3 Birds Eye Steamer Trays
1 bag Baked Lays
1 Glad ForceFlex Trash Bags
1 20 lb bag Purina Dog Chow
1 Old El Paso Taco Shells
2 Old El Paso Seasoning Packs
1 Snickers Candy Bar
1 Women's Day Magazine (found some q's inside and an article on grocery savings - sweet!)
2 bags Publix Candy Corn
**2 Sushi/Sashimi Rolls from the deli** Not something we usually buy, but this was for"take-out" night! Sushi and a night off of cooking is right up my alley! YUM!

I must confess, I have absolutely no clue where one of my receipts went so I don't know my exact total saved! I was the victim of a drive by counter de-clutter and I think it got tossed.

TOTAL SPENT: $22.63
TOTAL SAVED: Well over $50.00

Considering the sushi was around $12, it was an awesome week at Publix for the rest of my grocery purchases!

HOT DEAL at Food Lion on baby stuff!

Special thanks to my friend DJ over at Groceries4Free for tipping me off on this one!
Our local Food Lion has major markdowns on Huggies (Snug & Dry, Little Swimmers, and Pure & Naturals)!
I had to make a couple of trips, but it really turned out to be worth it. The hubs will be happy too since I happened to catch a great deal on steak! They also have a good deal of other baby stuff on clearance. I saw several bottles of Johnsons & Johnsons baby wash/oil, Playtex baby forks and spoons, and Huggies wipes all marked down.
They were great prices, but when you pair it with coupons - WOW!

Here's what I got:

2 9lb bags Kingsford Charcoal
2 Huggies Pure & Natural (last time I bought these for $11 on sale before coupons! $6.84 today!)
1 Huggies Snug & Dry
1 J&J Cucumber Melon Baby Wash
1 Select Flat Iron Steak
2 Cans Rotel
2 McCormick Grinders
2 pkg Bar S Franks
1 FL Hamburger Buns
1 FL Hotdog Buns
1 Huggies Wipes Refill

Total Spent: $28.72
MVP & Coupon Savings: $40.24
I am not sure of the pre-clearance prices since I don't normally buy these items at Food Lion, but all of the Huggies products, and the baby wash were marked down. Needless to say, I may make one more trip to pick up some Little Swimmers for next summer!
