Leftover Halloween Candy? These Folks Can Help........

The last thing we need in our house is leftover Halloween candy!  There is a Snickers that has been making googly eyes at me all morning, and while I gave in guilt free last night - I'm not eating that junk today.  If you are like us and have a ton of leftover candy, I have a great idea for you.  Why not contribute your candy to Operation Gratitude?

Operation Gratitude is non-profit, volunteer-based organization that sends care packages to our troops overseas.  They will ship your Halloween candy to the troops, so that the candy can be shared with village children.

They received the following letter from a Marine:

"I live with 17 Marines and Sailors in one room. Everyone got a package and everyone loved it especially the cookies and beanie babies. The cookies are excellent and the beanie babies help us out a lot with the local kids. We give them candy and toys and they give us the location for IED's. Once again, thank you for everything and for all the hard work that you put into the package. LCPL ND"

You can either ship your candy to Operation Gratitude yourself, or you can participate in The Halloween Candy Buy Back Program.  There are local dentists that will buy your leftover Halloween candy back for $1 per pound and then ship it for you.  You can find a local participating dentist here.

This is an awesome program, and it gives me a perfectly wonderful reason to get all of this tempting chocolate out of my house!!  Sounds like a win-win to me!

Snag For A Steal - Bi-Lo Deals 10/27 - 11/2

Here's what you can Snag For A Steal this week at Bi-Lo.

There are just a few things here, in my opinion - definitely not the huge deals like we were seeing the last two weeks.  Everything can't be on sale all the time, right?

**Remember, BiLo will double all manufacturer's coupons up to 60¢ in value. On BOGO deals, you only have to purchase 1 to get the sale price. If you purchase both, be sure to use two coupons to get the best deal. Use your BiLo Bonuscard to get the sale prices! Don't forget those reusable bags - you'll get a 5¢ credit for each one you use!**

About this list....These are the absolute best prices I see and this list does not include everything on sale.  These are the deals that you definitely do not want to miss out on this week.   Sure you want to buy things that are on sale, but you really want to stock up when prices are dirt cheap!  Being a super shopper means changing the way you think about buying.  Don't buy when you need it - buy when it's on sale!  To see the entire ad with all the coupon match-ups, you can visit Southern Savers here.
